Series Victory!!!

So we finished the series in Greece with a 2-1 series victory. Which is a great result, any series win away from home is a great result! After a long travel from Buenos Aires to New York, New York to London..London overnight and then to Athens we ended up coming out the next day and recording a 3-0 victory over the Greeks. We attacked well with a low error % and made a lot of good transition plays. The win was made all the more impressive was that Chika got practically knocked out by Igor in the warm-up as Igor went for a ball, and instead contacted Chika's nose!!! Also Zane decided to dive and cut his chin open!!

2nd game the Greeks came out much stronger, we didn't really take our chances and in the end went down in 3 fairly close sets. A little dissapointing, but we still had the chance to make amends the next day.
Before even getting to the 3rd match we had an interesting time. First we thought we were going a different way to the stadium, but as we found out the bus was only trying to do a U turn. So we ended up driving back past the hotel after 15 minutes in the bus already! Then we got to a thin road where the bus could not get down because one of those annoying little smart cars was jutting out onto the road to far! Solution: Get 4-5 guys from the team to go down and lift the darn thing outta the way! Before we knew it (after 45mins) we were at the stadium.
The 3rd match started pretty scrappy, we werent playing well and lost the first set convincingly. It was also looking pretty ugly early in the 2nd until all of a sudden we decided to play something resembling international Volleyball. For the rest of the match we were never really in trouble, it was a bit scrappy but we were coming out on top in the longer rallies and were able to finish it off 3-1.
Now we are in Slovakia in the ski-resort town of Proprad. Beautiful place with picturesque mountains on the edge of the city. We play 2 matches against the Slovaks and then we are on to China!
